Terms of Service
Effective October 7, 2026
Welcome to Bless. These terms are the agreement between you and the team that operates Bless ("we," "us") for using the Bless app and blessme.now (together, "Bless"). By creating an account or using Bless, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Bless. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
1. What Bless is
Bless is a place to pray for the people you love: you can see the people in your life and people around the world, share a short prayer request, pray for others, and collect scripture cards along the way. We may change, add, or remove features over time, and we may pause or end the service, though we will try to give you notice when we can.
2. Who can use Bless
You must be at least 13 years old to use Bless. If you are under the age of adulthood where you live, please use Bless with the permission of a parent or guardian. You may not use Bless if we have previously removed you from it, or if the law does not allow you to.
3. Your account
You sign in with Apple and may verify a phone number. Only verify a number that belongs to you. Please choose a username and display name that are not misleading — do not pretend to be someone else. You are responsible for what happens on your account, so keep your device secure and let us know if you think someone else is using it.
4. Your content
You own what you post on Bless — your profile, your bio, your photo, and your prayer requests. To run Bless, you give us permission to store, process, and show that content to the people you choose, and to have it checked for safety and used to write the short prayer that accompanies a request, as described in our Privacy Policy. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except where others have already seen it or we must keep a record for safety or legal reasons.
5. Community guidelines
Bless works because people trust it with tender things. Please treat everyone here, and everyone you pray for, with kindness. Do not post, share, or use Bless for:
- Hate — attacking or demeaning people because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion or lack of it, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or illness. Praying for people of other faiths, or for people you disagree with, is welcome; mocking them is not.
- Wishing harm — "prayers" asking for someone to be hurt, punished, cursed, or killed, or threats or encouragement of violence against anyone, including yourself.
- Harassment and bullying — targeting, shaming, or intimidating a person, or using a prayer request to gossip about or humiliate someone.
- Sexual content — sexually explicit or suggestive content of any kind, and anything that sexualizes minors, which we report to the authorities.
- Illegal activity — promoting, arranging, or asking for help with anything illegal, such as selling drugs or weapons, fraud, or exploitation.
- Spam and solicitation — advertising, fundraising or donation requests, links, repetitive posts, chain messages, or using Bless to sell or promote anything.
- Sharing other people's private information — posting someone else's phone number, address, email, private medical details, or other personal information without their permission. Ask before sharing someone else's story; when in doubt, use a first name only.
- Impersonation and deception — pretending to be another person or organization, or misleading people about who you are.
- Abusing the service — scraping, automated or fake accounts, interfering with how Bless works, trying to get around blocks, limits, or safety checks, or trying to find out other people's phone numbers.
Talking honestly about hard things — illness, grief, addiction, depression, divorce, money trouble, doubt — is exactly what prayer requests are for, and is never against these guidelines.
6. Safety checks and moderation
Every prayer request is checked automatically before other people can see it. A request may be published, held for review, shown only to your people, or declined with a short explanation. Automated checks are not perfect; if we get one wrong, you can edit and try again or contact us. We may also review reported content and remove content or limit an account that breaks these terms. If a request suggests someone may be in danger, we will show resources where help is available.
7. Reporting and blocking
You can report a person or a prayer request from within the app, and you can block anyone. When you block someone, you stop seeing each other on Bless and any follows between you are removed. We review reports and act on them as we judge appropriate, which can include removing content, warning, or disabling an account. Please do not misuse reports.
8. Written prayers
The short prayers shown alongside prayer requests are written with the help of artificial intelligence and screened before they appear. They are offered as a gentle starting point for your own prayer. They are not pastoral, medical, legal, financial, or professional advice, and they do not promise any particular outcome.
9. Scripture cards
Cards you collect in Bless are for enjoyment within the app. They have no monetary value, cannot be sold or exchanged for money, and may change as Bless changes.
10. Bless is not an emergency service
Bless cannot respond to emergencies. If you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services right away. In the United States you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Elsewhere, findahelpline.com lists free, confidential support in many countries.
11. Ending your use of Bless
You can stop using Bless and delete your account from the app's settings at any time. We may suspend or end your access, or remove content, if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if it is needed to protect the people who use Bless. Where it is reasonable and safe to do so, we will tell you why.
12. Disclaimers and limits of liability
We work hard to make Bless good and reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of Bless, and our total liability for any claim relating to Bless is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you; nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be waived by law.
13. General
If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce part of these terms right away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer these terms to someone else. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for Bless, but Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary where Apple's terms require it. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator of Bless is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
14. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will post the new version here with a new effective date, and if the changes are significant we will let you know in the app. If you keep using Bless after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
